Delta Offers International Economy Passengers Free Beer, Wine
David Beasley
Atlanta - 06.09.09
Delta took similar steps last March to standardize service on domestic flights for the merged airlines.

Delta Air Lines Inc.  passengers flying economy on international flights will now get free beer and wine, a perk resulting from Delta’s merger with Northwest Airlines Corp. last year. On flights longer than 3,800 miles, economy class passengers will also get a hot breakfast.

As part of the merger, Delta is standardizing the service offered by the two airlines on international long-haul flights. Northwest already offered free beer and wine for economy passengers on those international flights, said Delta spokesman Kent Landers. Delta took similar steps last March to standardize service on domestic flights for the merged airlines.
