Georgia's Center of Innovation for Aerospace has named Steven Justice as its new director.
The aerospace center is part of a statewide network of resource centers the Georgia Department of Economic Development operates to boost industries vital to the state's economy, including logistics, agribusiness and energy. The aerospace industry supports thousands of jobs in Georgia. The state exported more than $3 billion worth of civilian aircraft, engines, equipment and parts in 2008, making aerospace products Georgia's top export commodity by value.
An aerospace engineer, Mr. Justice has 30 years of experience working for companies large and small. Past employers include Lockheed-Martin, Gulfstream Aerospace, Northrop and Delta Air Lines Inc. A Georgia Institute of Technology alumnus, Mr. Justice also founded two aerospace companies, Aviation Science & Commerce and Advanced Aviation Products LLC.
Most recently, he was vice president of engineering for The Ginn Group in Peachtree City.
The aerospace innovation center is based at Middle Georgia College's aviation campus in Eastman.
