After attending an aerospace trade show in the U.K., Gov. Sonny Perdue is stopping in Stockholm, Sweden Wednesday and Thursday to meet with a variety of companies, some of which have significant operations in Georgia.

The governor is meeting with representatives from handset maker Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, a London-based joint venture between Sony Corp., headquartered in Tokyo, and Ericsson, based in Stockholm.

In late 2009, Sony Ericsson announced that it was moving both its North American headquarters in Research Triangle, N.C., and its Latin American regional office in Miami to Atlanta, creating an office known as Region Americas that would employ 180.

On his second day in the Swedish capital, Mr. Perdue has a lunch meeting with Tomas Puusepp, CEO of Elekta Inc., which provides technology that uses radiation to treat cancers.

Elekta employs more than 100 people at its North American headquarters in Atlanta, according to Bill Lambiase, executive director of SACC Georgia.

Mr. Perdue's schedule also includes a meeting with Marcus Wallenberg, chairman of the board for Swedish bank SEB Group.

The governor will leave Sweden for Dusseldorf, Germany, on the evening of July 22. He will spend July 23 in meetings there and will fly back to Atlanta on July 24.
