Ambassador Morton Abramowitz, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State and Ambassador to Turkey, will be in Atlanta for a talk on the American response to and  the West's perceptions of Turkish foreign policy. 

The talk is titled: "Where does Turkey belong? Western perceptions of Turkish foreign policy and the American response."  
 
The discussion and a light lunch will be held in the Gordy Room of the Wardlaw Center on the Georgia Tech campus located at 177 North Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30332.
 
This event is organized as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series of Istanbul Center in cooperation with The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech.  This educational program organized by Istanbul Center seeks to allow the public to interact with policy makers and others on myriad topics.
 
The event will be filmed by Istanbul Center. Media will have the opportunity to film, photograph and capture this event involving the grassroots importance of the education of international affairs.
 
Ambassador Morton Abramowitz is a retired career diplomat and currently a senior fellow at The Century Foundation. He serves on the boards of the International Rescue Committee, the International Crisis Group, and Human Rights in North Korea, and is on the advisory council of the National Interest quarterly journal and Foreign Policy magazine.
