In 2008, Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman paid for the first-ever racially integrated senior prom at Charleston High School in Mississippi, even though the school had been desegregated for decades.  In this acclaimed documentary, filmmaker Paul Saltzman follows students, parents and teachers as they prepare for the big day.

AIS is pleased to welcome the following special guest panelists to discuss the film from their unique perspectives as children of Civil Rights Movement leaders

and the legacy of the Movement in today’s world, particularly illustrated by this film:
