Maestro Vasily Petrenko, Chief Conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, brings a fascinating all-Tchaikovsky program: the picturesque Manfred Symphony, based on Lord Byron's novel, followed by the always youthful First Piano Concerto, featuring the spectacular Irish pianist Barry Douglas.
