The event will address issues pertinent to health and disease in East Africa. Attendees will come to understand the culture and geography of East Africa. They will learn about both the communicable and chronic diseases this area of the world faces, as well as the global nature of health problems and their solutions. Additionally, they will learn about how partnerships are created between African and U.S. universities and how those partnerships conduct research that serves to benefit nations on both continents.
Cost: $5 for Students, $10 for non-students (meals are included).
