Canada is the No. 1 market for U.S. agricultural exports. In FY2008 agricultural exports to Canada reached a record $16.2 billon. U.S. agricultural exports to Canada accounted for 14% of the total U.S. food and agricultural exports of $115.4 billion. Consumer-orientated agricultural products accounted for 74% of total U.S. food and agricultural product sales to Canada in FY2008. American products accounted for more than 60% of Canadian agricultural imports in 2007.
